‘Insurgent’ production expected to start in spring.

‘Insurgent’ Script Getting Polished by Akiva Goldsman | Variety

Akiva Goldsman has come on board to work on the script for Lionsgate’s “Insurgent,” the sequel to its upcoming “Divergent.”  Brian Duffield worked on the initial script for “Insurgent,” set to open March 20, 2015.  Variety reported last month that “Divergent” director Neil Burger will not helm “Insurgent” and no director has been hired yet. Burger is currently in post-production for “Divergent,” starring Shailene Woodley, for a March 21 release.
