Unknown Writing Duo Tapped to Script 'Star Trek 3' with Roberto Orci | FirstShowing.net
Whether Paramount Pictures wasn't pleased with some of the critical and fan reactions following Star Trek Into Darkness, or the studio is simply looking at a fresh approach to the Star Trek reboot franchise, there will be some new writers on the scene for Star Trek 3. THR has word that relatively unknown writing duo J.D. Payne andPatrick McKay haven been hired to script the film which J.J. Abrams will not direct, due to his schedule onStar Wars: Episode VII. However, they won't be alone, since Roberto Orci will work with them on the sequel. But this time Orci's writing/producing partner Alex Kurtzman isn't on board. Read on!
