IMDB has released their list of the Top Ten Movies of 2013, and IMDb users appear to love superhero movies. Man of Steel was the most popular movie of the year, and Iron Man 3 was the second most popular movie of the year. Thor: The Dark World also made the top ten, finishing in the number nine position.

The Top Ten Movies of 2013 list is based on the films that were most popular with IMDb users. As IMDb notes, the rankings are not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance but the actual pageviews by more than 160 million unique monthly users of IMDb.com.
At the actual box office, Iron Man 3 was the highest grossing movie of 2013 both in the United States and Worldwide. Iron Man 3 made over $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office and is the only film of 2013 to gross over $1 billion so far. Man of Steel is currently in fourth place for 2013 at the U.S. box office with $291 million and in sixth place for 2013 at the worldwide box office with $662 million.
