Adam Sandler in talks for Todd McCarthy's 'The Cobbler' - Movies News - Digital Spy

He is lined up to play a man who repairs shoes, with the character also having the ability to step into other people's lives.  McCarthy has previously directed a number of well-received indie hits including Win Win and The Station Agent.  Sandler is expected to start shooting the film before he begins work for his rumored role in Jason Reitman's Men, Women & Children.  Reitman's film is based on the Chad Kultgen novel of the same name, and will center around the effect that the internet and modern world has had on the sexuality and lifestyle of teens and their parents.
