Jamie Foxx has his eye on the director's chair
There's nothing wrong with aspiring to be a quadruple threat. And that's just what Jamie Foxx, an Oscar-winning actor, hit singer and successful comedian, is aiming to do. He tells Men's Fitness magazine that when it's all said and done, he wants to have tried his hand at a little bit of everything, including directing. "I don't want to die and not have all of the ideas that I want to do out," he says. Plus it doesn't hurt to be buddy-buddy with one of the greatest directors around: Quentin Tarantino. "He's taught me how to shoot, how to take my time shooting with one camera, how to make it lean. I learned a lot," Foxx says of Tarantino, who directed him in Django Unchained last year. "Sometimes you've got to let actors go and not try to micromanage every little thing, because you miss stuff." Foxx shared more about his role in the next Spider-Man flick and about controlling the course of his career.
