Vincent Price, in his pomp, gives a wonderful, overblown performance as a classical actor who, assisted by Diana Rigg as his daughter, wreaks bloody revenge on theatre critics – including Robert Morley, Jack Hawkins, Arthur Lowe and Michael Hordern – by dispatching them in ways borrowed from Shakespeare’s plays. As garishly over-the-top as it sounds.
