Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood are diving into futuristic drama “Into the Forest,” starring as sisters in the film adaptation of Jean Hegland’s novel of the same name. Page is also producing. Patricia Rozema (“Grey Garden,” “Mansfield Park”) will direct from her adapted screenplay. Story centers on sisters struggling to survive after the collapse of society in the not-too-distant future. The novel, published in 1998, was set in Northern California with the teen siblings living in a forest home over 30 miles from the nearest town and several miles away from their nearest neighbor. Besides Page, ID-PR founder and CEO Kelly Bush Novak and Sriram Das are set to produce. Haroon (Boon) Saleem is exec producing and Kristina Sorensen is associate producer.
