'Emmy-winning' Simpsons character to be killed off

'Emmy-winning' Simpsons character to be killed off – Daily TV round-up - Yahoo TV UK

One of the regular characters in 'The Simpsons' is to be killed off, it's been revealed.  Al Jean, one of the show's longest-standing executives, made the announcement while unveiling details of the series 25th season.  However, he would not say which character is for the chop.  “I’ll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won’t say who it is,” he said.  The show's regular cast members, who voice Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa, have all picked up Emmys for their performances.  However, fans shouldn't worry too much about one of the main family members biting the dust as guest artists Hank Azarian (Moe Szyslak and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon), Marcia Wallace (Edna Krabappel) and Kelsey Grammar (Sideshow Bob) have also won prizes for their work. Meanwhile Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer, also plays Krusty The Clown, Homer's father, Barney and Itchy and Groundskeeper Willie.
