IFC Films Picks Up U.S. Rights to 'Jimmy P.' - The Hollywood Reporter

Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian
Worldview Entertainment sold Arnaud Desplechin's drama, which stars Benicio Del Toro and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
IFC Films has picked up U.S. distribution rights to Arnaud Desplechin’s drama Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian, which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Worldview Entertainment sold the film, which stars Benicio Del Toro as Jimmy Picard, a Blackfoot Indian who fought in World War II and suffered from psychological distress. Mathieu Amalric plays Georges Devereau, an anthropologist who is brought in to assess Picard’s Indian psyche and behavior.
IFC is looking toward releasing the film in early 2014. 
Desplechin  co-wrote the screenplay with Kent Jones and JuliePeyr, based on the book Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian byGeorges Devereux.
