Jennifer Ehle, Anson Mount, Abigail Spencer and Marcus Thomas have joined the cast of heist film “The Forger” alongside John Travolta, Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan. Shooting began Monday in Boston on “The Forger,” produced and co-financed by Code Entertainment’s Al Corley and Bart Rosenblatt as well as Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel of the Solution Entertainment Group. Rob Carliner is also producing.
Philip Martin (BBC’s “Wallander”) is directing from a script by Richard D’Ovidio. Travolta portrays a former child art prodigy and second-generation petty thief who arranges to buy his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son, played by Sheridan, and finds he must reteam with his father (Plummer) to carry out one last big job for the syndicate. Ehle will star as the emotionally fragile ex-wife of Travolta’s character. Mount plays a member of the syndicate, Spencer a DEA agent.
