Legendary Pictures is going pedal to the metal on its upcoming Hot Wheels movie, tapping renowned stunt coordinator Simon Crane to direct, and Paul Attanasio (The Sum of All Fears, Quiz Show) to pen the script. According to Variety, Attanasio will rewrite from a draft by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, which initially attracted Crane to the project. No plot details have been divulged other than it was originally going to be marketed to young men in the same demo as the Fast & Furious franchise (as opposed to the kids who play with the Hot Wheels toys).
