Aiming to highlight the African and African-American experience in film, the San Diego Black Film Festival will return next year (January 30 to February 2, 2014) to provide exposure to stories and projects that are usually underrepresented on mainstream filmmaking. Hosted in one of California's more beloved cities, the festival is a great opportunity to honor these artists and create a community to further develop films that showcase their unique vision.
