What was once an anomaly in the Motor City is becoming a common occurrence: A business moving from the suburbs to downtown Detroit. One of the newest businesses is video production and communications company TVS Communication Solutions. After 22 years in Troy, Rick Ghersi, owner and CEO of TVS and sister company LearnCom, is moving the business to what is becoming known as downtown Detroit's "Creative Corridor" surrounding Woodward Avenue. “I’ve always wanted to consolidate and move this business downtown,” Ghersi toldMLive during a phone interview Monday. “Within the last year - 18 months, a lot of creative agencies have moved downtown and we work with agencies and our corporate companies to help craft their messaging.”
