Nineteen feature films have been submitted for consideration for this year's Best Animated Feature Film Academy Award. Many sequels and spin-offs from previous Oscar-winners and nominees are in the mix, including "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2," "Despicable Me 2," "Monsters University" and "The Smurfs 2." But they're not all slapstick comedies in 3-D; the films also include the epic hand-drawn "The Wind Rises" by Japanese master Hayao Miyazaki, who won the Oscar for his 2001 film, "Spirited Away"; a stop-motion supernatural tale from Spain; and a grim tale from South Korea about a minister fleecing his flock. Under Academy rules, five films will be nominated in the category. The 19 features submitted for consideration are listed below, along with trailers. "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2"- Further adventures featuring giant food. "The Croods" A prehistoric family goes on a road trip of sorts. "Despicable Me 2" -- He may no longer be a super-villain, but Gru (Steve Carell) still has his minions along to possibly save the world, in this computer-animated comedy. "Epic" -- Another tale of a world threatened with destruction, in this case, a forest inhabited by magical beings. Voices by Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz and Beyonce Knowles. "Ernest and Celestine" -- Hand-drawn animation of the unlikely friendship between a bear and a mouse, from co-directors Stephane Aubier and Vincent Patar of Belgium and Benjamin Renner of France. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for family films at the Seattle International Film Festival.
