Shooting has started on Robert Connolly’s family film “Paper Planes,” starring Sam Worthington and Anthony LaPaglia, in Perth, Western Australia and Tokyo. Arclight Films is selling the film at the American Film Market. Gary Hamilton, managing director of Arclight Films and an executive producer on the project. “With such adept and brilliant actors like Sam Worthington and Anthony LaPaglia in Robert Connolly’s capable hands, along with a stirringly well-penned script, we are confident we’ll end up with a final product that will attract distributors on a global scale.” Project also stars Ed Oxenbould, who’s in Disney’s forthcoming “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” Working with Korea’s EMIG and Deluxe DDP, “Paper Planes” will also be released in 3D.

“Planes” tells the story of an 11-year old, who is brought up by his father in a remote town in country Australia. Dylan’s life is changed forever when he wins a place in the regional Paper Plane Championships in Sydney.
