Ann Boyd, Sony Pictures executive VP of global communications is exiting her position at the studio. This marks another person in Sony’s communication department who will be leaving the studio, with senior VP of media relations Steve Elzerannouncing last month he is leaving at the end of the month. The news doesn’t come a big surprise, with Sony bringing in PR veteran Charlie Sipkins last month to head up the department, which foreshadowed a possible departure for Boyd. The parting is amicable and Sipkins is currently putting together his own team.
