LOS ANGELES — Sting had Hollywood’s finest up on their feet and dancing when he performed at the Art and Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. But there was no pushy paparazzi or frenetic public cheering and flourishing cellphone cameras, as music, film and art stars from Mary J. Blige, through Jane Fonda and Jake Gyllenhaal, to the art dealers Larry Gagosian and Dasha Zhukova gathered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for its third annual fund-raising gala.
